Hello and welcome! This is the place to explore solutions to your challenges, learn about why you do the things you do, make the choices you make, and look at some alternatives to the patterns that leave you feeling stressed, angry, sad, confused, lonely, burned out…I believe in sharing with you the information and skills you need to make the changes you seek in your life. We will have some open and hopefully humorous discussions, I will give you the opportunity to look at yourself in a candid light, try out some new coping skills, and determine what works best for you.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been in practice for over 25 years in a wide variety of settings. I come from a strong Cognitive Behavior Therapy background, along with Family Systems, Solution Focused, and Trauma Resolution applied through Play Therapy, Art Therapy, and Animal Assisted Therapies. I am fascinated with Neuroscience regarding Mental Health and try to keep up with the most recent research reports, assisting you to apply them to your life in a practical way.

In addition, I am an Advanced Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH.)  Having worked in the field for over 28 years, I specialize in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and working with people of all ages with Autism and Asperger’s Symptoms, along with traditional Therapeutic Riding clients. This gives me additional insight into the issues faced by families with a special needs member. People with Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, in need of Trauma Resolution, going through a Major Life Transition, Active Duty Military, and Veterans have all been welcomed clients of mine.
