Jared Michonski

About

Jared Michonski, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist in Seattle, WA, and co-director of S-T-A-A-R DBT (Seattle Training in Adult, Adolescent, and Relationship DBT). He is board certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy by the DBT-Linehan Board of Certification and trained directly with Dr. Marsha Linehan, the developer of DBT. He earned his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston (2011), completed a predoctoral internship at the University of Rochester Medical Center, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the DBT Center at Evidence Based Treatment Centers of Seattle (EBTCS), where he was later a staff psychologist for four years. He has been in independent practice since September 2017, treats adults, teens (13+), and families for suicidality, self-harm, BPD, emotion dysregulation, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and depression, and also serves as clinical faculty in the Department of Psychology at the University of Washington and as a DBT supervisor/trainer.
