To make it effortless to find — and trust — a high-quality mental health professional.
Online therapy made care more accessible than ever, but it quietly broke something: trust. When you meet a therapist through a screen, how do you know they're properly licensed, in good standing, and good at what they do? Today that information is scattered across state license boards, review sites, and directories — none of it connected, much of it stale. We built ThriveTalk to put it in one place: verified, sourced, dated, and kept fresh.

The principles behind every profile.
Four rules govern how information gets onto this site — and how it stays trustworthy after it does.
Verified, not vibes
Every material claim on a profile traces to a primary source — the issuing state board, the federal NPI registry, named review platforms. If we can't verify something, the field stays blank.
Fresh, not stale
Licenses lapse and records change. Profiles carry the date they were last verified, and we re-run the full research and fact-checking cycle on a recurring basis.
Trust as the product
Therapists can't pay to change what verification shows. License status, disciplinary findings, and identity checks come from government sources, and our editorial policy prohibits altering verified facts.
Quality over quantity
Fewer, deeper profiles. Each one aims to cover everything you'd want to know before booking — license, credentials, modalities, insurance, and a verified external presence.
Four layers before anything is published.
No self-serve listings, no pay-to-play placement, no unchecked claims. Every profile on ThriveTalk passes the same four layers first.
Research
We gather each therapist's information from their own website, professional directories, the federal NPI registry, and state licensing boards. Anything we can't trace to a source is left out.
Independent fact-checking
A separate verification pass — deliberately walled off from the original research — re-checks every material claim against primary sources and scores its confidence in the profile.
Human editorial review
An editor personally reviews every profile — the facts, the sources, the photo, the wording — before deciding whether it publishes. Nothing goes live automatically.
Ongoing re-verification
Published profiles show when they were last verified, and we re-run the full cycle on a recurring basis so pages stay current instead of quietly going stale.
Machines do the heavy lifting. Humans make the calls.
Automated research makes verification possible at depth and scale; editors make it trustworthy, one profile at a time.
Research & verification
AI-assisted research and automated lookups gather and cross-check data across licensing boards and registries at a scale no human team could match — under one hard rule: never invent anything.
Editorial review
Human editors make every publication decision, with the full fact-checking report and evidence links in front of them. There is no bulk-approve button in our workflow.
Engineering & design
A small product team building the verification tooling — license lookups, cross-referencing, freshness tracking — and a directory that's actually pleasant to use.
