EXTERNAL EVALUATION

BeatBullying has been independently evaluated by the University of Sussex and Goldsmiths University.

The 2011 study by the University of Sussex found that across five schools there was a reduction in the rate of pupils experiencing bullying from 28.0% to 20.8% following BeatBullying’s work. This is equivalent to a fall of a quarter in the number of young people being bullied. This was accompanied by a perception among school staff and young people that BeatBullying had led to a reduction in bullying. To read the full report, click here.

The 2008-10 Goldsmith’s University study for the Department for Education showed that BeatBullying was rated by schools as an effective intervention. To read the full report, click here.
