Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of www.thrivetalk.com and any related services we provide. By using the site, you agree to these terms.
Last updated: May 3, 2026
Acceptance
By accessing or using ThriveTalk, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or services.
What ThriveTalk is — and isn’t
ThriveTalk operates a website and a matching platform that helps you connect with independently licensed mental-health clinicians in the U.S. The clinical relationship is between you and your matched clinician, who is solely responsible for diagnosis and treatment within their scope of practice and state license.
ThriveTalk is not an emergency or crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or 988. See our crisis resources.
Eligibility
You must be 18 or older to create an account. Minors aged 13–17 may receive care only with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian, who must create the account on the minor’s behalf. You must reside in a U.S. state where your matched clinician is licensed.
Your account
- You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
- Notify us promptly at support@thrivetalk.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Fees, insurance, and cancellation
Out-of-pocket session fees and accepted insurance plans are disclosed before you book. We accept most major U.S. insurance plans; in-network status is verified per therapist before your first session. You are responsible for any copay, deductible, or non-covered amount.
Cancellation and no-show policies are set by your treating clinician and disclosed in their intake paperwork. Most clinicians require at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid a late-cancel fee.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site to harass, threaten, defame, or impersonate anyone;
- Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt, probe, or reverse engineer the service;
- Scrape clinician profiles, reviews, or any other content for commercial use without our written permission;
- Use ThriveTalk to provide medical advice if you are not the matched clinician.
Intellectual property
The ThriveTalk name, logo, written content, photography, and software are owned by ThriveTalk, Inc. or our licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you. You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g. intake answers, testimonials), but you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it to operate and improve the service.
Disclaimers
ThriveTalk and the website are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Information presented on the site is for general educational purposes and is not a substitute for the professional judgment of your treating clinician.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, ThriveTalk and our officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the site or services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site or services will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply only to the maximum extent permitted.
Termination
You can stop using ThriveTalk at any time. We can suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms or use the service in a way that creates risk for you, our clinicians, or other clients. Where required by law or clinical ethics, we will provide reasonable notice and referral information.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, except where applicable law gives you the right to file in your home state.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted in-product or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
