What to expect when you call or text

Crisis counselors are trained to listen without judgment, help you feel safe right now, and connect you to ongoing care. You do not have to be in immediate danger to call or text — feeling overwhelmed, hopeless, or unsafe is enough. You can stay anonymous, and the conversation is confidential except in the narrow cases where the counselor is required to dispatch help to keep you or someone else alive.

Why ThriveTalk doesn’t take crisis calls

Therapy with ThriveTalk is scheduled, ongoing care. Our clinicians are not available 24/7 between sessions and our intake team is not staffed to triage emergencies. The hotlines above exist precisely for moments when you need a trained crisis counselor in seconds, not days. Please use them.
